Clarinetist Margaret Worsley has collaborated with chamber and orchestral groups around the world. She has concertized in Zimbabwe, Lesotho, South Africa, Mexico, Iceland, China, Canada, and much of Europe. Her collaborations with notable composers include that with John Rutter, Osvaldo Golijov, Jenni Brandon, and Carter Pann. Her Woodwind Quintet, West Coast Wind Quintet (WCWQ) has recently been recognized as one of the most sought-after young person chamber ensembles in California. She has been an active substitute for the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida, as well as the Las Vegas Philharmonic, and a concerto finalist at all her attended schools. She has soloed with the Cal State Fullerton Wind Symphony and with the Mt. San Antonio College Wind Ensemble as part of their faculty series, and is director of Fullerton’s “Clarinet Day.”

Originally from Huntington Beach, California, Miss Worsley received her undergraduate degree in music performance from California State University, Fullerton, where she studied with renowned soloist Håkan Rosengren. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Music Degree, Margaret studied at the Glenn Gould School of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada, with acclaimed clarinetist Joaquin Valdepeñas. She obtained an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School and continued her studies at the University of Michigan, where she acquired a Master’s Degree in Clarinet Performance, while studying with famed pedagogue Deborah Chodacki. Miss Worsley moved back to southern California in 2007, where she teaches and freelances throughout the area. She frequents elementary schools with the Clarindon Quintet through the Philharmonic Society of Orange County’s program “Meet the Musicians,” and is the Executive Assistant of Meistersingers, a non-profit professional a capella choir. Miss Worsley currently serves as adjunct faculty at Mount San Antonio College, Riverside City College, and Fullerton College.
